Information
This screen and its screen tabs contain all of the information
about an or
name in the customer database. In
addition, the screen provides access to many of the other customer
related functions in the system, such as contact entry and order
entry.
The fields at the top of the screen can be edited as necessary. The
CUSTOMER # field contains the M.O.M.-generated customer number and
cannot be edited.
Note: The address
line accepts 40 characters, please note that certain carriers may
limit their address lines.
Contact the carrier to determine the
number of characters that the carrier accepts.
The seven screen tabs contain specific information related to the
customer.

How to
Use the Screen
To
enter a New Order for the customer, press the NEW ORDER button.
Note: For business to
business, if an ordering customer had an address type that was ship
to or gift to and desires to be a bill to, then a message window
will open to acknowledge that this customer is becoming an ordering
customer instead of the last address type.
To
enter a New Contact for the customer, press the NEW CONTACT
button. Use this to add the
customer to the mailing list, to send a catalog or customer notice,
or to record a telemarketing call.
To
Verify an Address
for the customer, press the VERIFY
ADDRESS button. Use this to compare the
entered address to the listings in the USPS Database. *Only
available with the optional Address Correction
and Validation Module

The date fields below the customer information will display the
Validation expiration date, the user who last validated the record,
and the date of validation.

Click the View Verified Address button in order to display the
validated address, this is useful if the Vanity Address option is selected.
To view or edit information in one of the customer information
screen tabs, select the tab.
