Documentation
The user documentation for your M.O.M. system consists of the
following components, each one designed to help you in a specific
way.
On-Line Help
The On-Line Help addresses four needs of the M.O.M. User.
-
Screen Level Help: Each screen in the M.O.M. system has a detailed
help page explaining the purpose and use of the screen. In
addition, complete definitions for every field on the screen is
also provided.
-
Methodology: For several functional areas, such as Accounting,
Order Processing, etc., the On-Line Help System provides an
overview entitled "Methodology." These methodology discussions help
to explain the design and use of the system options and functions
associated with that particular functional area.
-
Special Procedures: The On-Line Help System also contains topics
that explain the setup and use of various system features and
optional modules.
-
Data Dictionary: File structures and field definitions for 14 of
the most commonly referenced files in the M.O.M. system.
The Help System is designed with cross-references (also known as
hypertext "jumps") and you can click on these to view the
cross-referenced information. In the screen text, the jumps look
like this: Introduction.
