SiteLINK
General Information
Get your business up and selling on the
Internet with a complete electronic commerce store created and
managed entirely from your Mail Order Manager software!
Today, thousands of large and small
companies in both consumer and business-to-business sales are
marketing and selling their products with a commerce site on the
Web. Up until now, however, Web commerce sites were not only
expensive to create, but difficult to manage because they could not
easily connect to a company's back-end order processing
software!
Welcome to SiteLINK, the next
generation of Web technology, which uses Active Server Pages (ASP)
and eXtensible Markup Language (XML) to create your web store.
Using ASP technology, SiteLINK not only connects your commerce site
to M.O.M. for order processing, but actually generates the entire
Web store for you directly from the M.O.M. database. That's the
"link" in SiteLINK!
No matter what size company, SiteLINK
is the best way to get "up and selling" on the Web quickly,
inexpensively and professionally!
How Do I Set Up My Store?
One simple "upload" command is all it
takes! SiteLINK takes all of the information and business rules
that you have set up in M.O.M. -- products, customer shipping
charges, sales taxes, advertising source codes -- and uses them to
build your on-line store! And, the entire store is under your
control at all times -- you make it and change it whenever you
want. You create your store's departments and sub-departments. You
decide what products are going to be in your store. And, for each
product, you define the advertising copy, image file, even special
pricing or size/color options that can be made available to your
on-line customers. Plus, a SiteLINK store gives your on-line
customers a fully secure commerce site using Secure Socket Layer
(SSL) and all of the necessary "shopping" tools, including product
search, store directories, shopping basket, and easy-to-use
checkout options.
Can I Customize the Look of My Store?
Everybody wants their store to look a
little different. SiteLINK automatically provides a store layout
for you based on the designs of some of the largest and most
successful retail sites on the Web today. You can select the fonts,
background colors, even use your own custom-created set of shopping
navigational buttons to create a
unique look for your commerce site. You can even dress up your
existing Web site by creating hyperlinks that connect to any part
of your SiteLINK store.
You can also customize the layout of
your store beyond the templates with Microsoft Frontpage or
Macromedia Dreamweaver with Frontpage Extensions. The SiteLINK
Custom Design team can also assist you to either customize the
store template or create a unique design just for you.
What About Order Processing and Customer Service?
Quickly retrieve orders from the Web
for processing in M.O.M. All you need is MOM and an internet
connection. For each order imported, M.O.M. can automatically
e-mail the customer with the order acknowledgment letter of your
choice. And, if the customer calls with questions, you can look up
the order quickly in M.O.M. using the unique order confirmation
number automatically generated for each order by SiteLINK. They can
even do their own customer service right in your store because
M.O.M. automatically uploads all new account and order information
when you use the Store Publisher to upload updates from M.O.M. to
you store. Customer service just doesn't get any easier for Web
commerce!
Do I Need any Special Hardware or Software?
We will host your store for you, so you
don't need a Web server. All you need is an ordinary Web browser
and a copy of the M.O.M. Import/Export Module. There's a one-time
store setup fee charged to get you up and running, and a monthly
service fee for the hosting service from Dydacomp.
