Global Discount
General Information
For SiteLINK 5.0 users
only, this screen allows you to create store discounts for
customers visiting your store with a specific source key.
This
can include a percentage off or dollar amount off the entire order
total or to include a free item with an order.
A
page can also be created that can be used to send an email link
that will automatically apply the source key when the link is
visited. SiteLINK 5.4 users must create their discounts through the
order promotions
feature in M.O.M.
Note: To use this feature, you
need to create a stock item in M.O.M. named 'DISCOUNT' with
inventory of 99999999, a cost of $0 and mark it as a Service
Item.
How to Use the Screen

Enter the Source Key for
the discount in this field.
Note: This source key needs to be in
M.O.M. as well.

Either select the Percentage
off the Entire Order or Dollar Amount off the Entire Order.
Then, enter the percentage or dollar
amount along with the amount of the entire order that is needed to
qualify for the discount.

Optionally, enter a Free
Item if you want to include a free item on the order when
using this source key.
You will need to have the free item
created in M.O.M. as an alias with a price of $0 before setting up
this source key in SiteLINK.
Note: You must use either the Percentage off the Entire Order or
Dollar Amount off the Entire
Order even if you only want to offer a free item without a
percentage or dollar amount off.
Use 0% or $0 in those fields to give a
free item without a discount.

Optionally, use the Page
Name and Specific
URL fields to create a link for customers to click on that
will automatically apply the discount and direct the customer to a
certain web page in your store. The Page Name will be used at the
end of the link. For example, www.storename.com/pagename.asp which,
when clicked on, will send the customer to the designated Specific
URL.

Optionally, select Auto
Apply to have the discount automatically applied to an order
without having the customer enter a coupon code.
Note: All customers will get this
offer.

Optionally, enter the Start
Date of the Source Key.
If
this field is left blank, then the source key is activated
immediately.

Optionally, enter the End
Date of the Source Key.
If this field is left blank, the
source key will not expire.

Select the APPLY CHANGES button to save the
changes that you have made to your store's Source Keys and view the
list of Source Keys.

Select the View All Discount link to view all of
the Discounts you have created for your store.
