User Defined Preferences - General Tab
General Information
This screen enables each M.O.M. user in your company to
establish "time saving" preferences for various searches and
lookups. These preferences can be changed as often as required by
each user. All entries on the screen are optional.
How to Use the Screen

Check the box ALWAYS GO TO MAIN ADDRESS WHENEVER LOOKING UP
CONTACTS, SHIP-TOS, GIFT RECIPIENTS, MAILING OR ALTERNATE ADDRESSES
to automatically default to a main or primary address in M.O.M.
whenever you search and find a related address.

Check the box DO NOT USE THE SELLING TOOLS FEATURE to disable
cross sell, up sell, substitution and promotion selling tools.

Check the box REMEMBER LAST VALUE USED IN LOOKUPS to
automatically display the last value in your lookup screens.

Select which F2 PRODUCT LOOKUP SEARCH CRITERIA you like to
automatically use when you press the F2 Key: the FULL LOOKUP or
ADVANCED SEARCH CRITERIA.
SMTP E-mail Settings

Check the box USE AN SMTP SERVER FOR SENDING E-MAILS to bypass
Microsoft Outlook and send emails directly through the server.

Enter the SMTP SERVER name.

Enter the port that will be used to communicate with the SMTP
server, this is usually port 25.

Enter your email server user name.

Enter your email server password.

Enter the email address you wish to appear as the sender on the
outgoing emails.
TEST EMAIL SETTINGS- click this button to have M.O.M. verify the
locations of
MOM files and your Windows files, free
access to these locations are needed in order for you to be able to
send emails through M.O.M.
TEST STANDARD EMAIL- click this button to bring up the M.O.M. Email screen in order to send a
test email.
Use the CHANGE PASSWORD button, if enabled, to change the
password for the current user account.
