UPS Shipping System Interface
General Information
There are three different UPS shipping system interfaces
available for use with M.O.M.'s Automatic Shipping Calculations
Module.
UPS OnLine Compatible - the UPS
software is built right into M.O.M. When packages are shipped in
M.O.M. either using the Batch Order Processing function or the
Shipment Confirmation screen, package information is automatically
uploaded directly to the UPS central database. UPS paperwork is
printed by M.O.M. Tracking numbers are also created by M.O.M. as
soon as the package is marked "shipped" in M.O.M.
Please Note: UPS Online Compatible Interface cannot be
installed on the same computer that has ever had UPS Worldship
installed.
UPS WorldShip - uses UPS'
WorldShip software running separately from M.O.M. When the M.O.M.
Batch Order Processing function is run, a file of packages is
created and must be imported (downloaded) into the UPS OnLine
software manually. The UPS software then transmits package
information to the UPS central database. UPS paperwork is printed
by the UPS software. Tracking numbers are created by the UPS
software and must be manually imported back into M.O.M.
