UPS OnLine Compatible Interface

General Information

The UPS OnLine Compatible Interface is the most complete and integrated interface to UPS. With UPS OnLine Compatible, you eliminate the need to use any other UPS or third-party shipping system for your UPS shipping. UPS OnLine Compatible takes the package information for each order and uploads the information directly to UPS using a modem connection.

For order processing, UPS OnLine Compatible in M.O.M. enables you to print the UPS bar-coded tracking labels as a part of your M.O.M. order processing. When a box is created in an order, M.O.M. generates package tracking numbers which can then be viewed in the Packaging tab of the Order Review screen.   After Shipping, Stage 10, is run in the Batch Order Processing function, UPS OnLine Compatible transmits the package information to UPS.

  1. On the main M.O.M. screen pull-down menu, select

  1. Check UPS OnLine Compatible Interface in the SHIPPING INTERFACES section of the screen.

  2. Press the SETTINGS button to setup the interface.

Using the Inteface

The UPS OnLine Compatible Interface is built right into your M.O.M. system. Tracking numbers are generated by M.O.M. for each box and shipping labels are generated and printed either using the Batch Order Processing function or the Packer's Workstation. And, as each package passes through the Shipping stage of Batch Order Processing, M.O.M. automatically "dials-up" the UPS host system and communicates the necessary information about the packages being shipped in that shipment.

Note: The UPS OnLine Compatible Interface will process domestic packages only.   International shipments can be set to export to UPS Worldship while using the UPS OnLine Compatible Interface.

Multiple UPS Shipper ID Numbers

M.O.M. allows for a multiple UPS Shipper ID Numbers to be commissioned on a single machine if there are multiple warehouses or multiple companies.
