General Information
This screen tab contains the general
information about the shipping method. Note: Many of the fields on this screen
tab apply specifically to the use of the Automatic Shipping
Calculations Module. Fields that are dimmed are disabled without
ASCM.

Field
Definitions
PACKAGE CARRIER - select the carrier
for the shipping method. If you are setting up a shipping method
for which there is no carrier in the list, select the blank entry.
Note: For shipping methods
without a predefined carrier, you need to define a complete zone
and rate table.
ZONE TABLE - select the corresponding
zone table for the shipping method based on the package carrier.
For undefined carriers, select a User Defined Zone Table (1-4). Zone
entries are made using the Zone Table tab screen.
COST TABLE - select the corresponding
rate table for the shipping method based on the package carrier.
For undefined carriers, select a User Defined Rate Table (1-4). Rate
entries are made using the Rate Table tab screen.
SHIPPING ID/ACCOUNT NUMBER - your
account number or shipping identification number for the carrier
for the shipping method.
DECLARED VALUE - select how you want
M.O.M. to calculate the value of an order shipment for insurance
purposes. You can base charges on your cost of goods, the price you
sell the item at, or no value at all. This will give the automatic
rate for the value of the package based on the carrier selected,
but you can change this in VIEW PACKAGE INFORMATION in an order and
once changed, it will be based on the modified value
BOX LABEL/FORM TYPE - select the style
of box label for orders shipped via the shipping method.
COD LABEL/FORM TYPE - select the style
of COD label for orders shipped via the shipping method.
COMPARATIVE SHIPPING METHODS - select
two other shipping methods to be used for on-screen comparison of
rates in Order Entry.
USPS Indicia
Information
When the United States Postal Service
is the carrier for the shipping method, these fields should be
completed.
PERMIT # - your permit number for the
specific postage class that applies to the shipping method; e.g.,
priority mail, standard A or B.
CITY - the city name where the post
office is located.
STATE - the state in which the post
office is located.
USPS Manifest Approval
You can print the Rate Tables and COD
Matrix for the USPS to get approval for a USPS manifest. To print
these documents, on the main menu,

Select: Maintain, Shipping Information,
Print USPS Approval Samples
-
Select to print the Rate Tables and COD
Matrix.
PRINT
SHIPPING MANIFEST/REPORT - check this box if the carrier requires a
printed shipping manifest for the shipping method.
SHIPPING METHOD IS AVAILABLE ON WEB - for use
with Dydacomp's SiteLINK option. Check this box if this shipping
method is to be included in the list of customer shipping options
on your Web store's check-out page.
SHIP
CONFIRM URL- Enter the URL that can the customer can use for
tracking a package shipped using this method, this will then be put
on customer notices that contain the key words %%SHIPTRACK and
%%SHIPTRACKALL.. Useful for users who have a branded tracking page
or who use a carrier that is not officially supported by M.O.M. If
left blank, the default tracking URL will be used (UPS,USPS,FedEx,
and DHL only). Be sure to enter
<<trackingno>>
where the tracking number should be to
allow M.O.M. to automatically populate the tracking number. If a
URL has already been entered for this carrier, simply select it
from the drop down list.
Google
Checkout
This
section is for users of Google Checkout with SiteLINK. In order to use make this
shipping method available to shoppers using Google Checkout on your
SiteLINK store you must enter fill out the fields detailed
below.
Note: You must have at
least one shipping method available for Google Checkout and it is
highly recommended that you have no more than 5.
DESCRIPTION- Enter Carrier and Service Information for this method.
Shoppers will see this information when selecting a method.
DEFAULT
CHARGE- Google Checkout is required to communicate with your
SiteLINK store to determine the charges for any given order. If
this communication fails, the customer will be charged the value
entered here for shipping.
